Fees & Payment

“How do you charge for your services?, and “Why do you need a budget range?” are two of the top questions we receive. Hopefully the following will offer some helpful guidance!

Project Based Pricing
Vicki Rorison Interiors is a project-based design firm. Before the design process begins, whether a single room or the whole home, a budget range needs to be established and approved. This way, there are no surprises with regards to the cost. We respect budgets, when we ask for a budget range, we compare it to the scope of the project, and based on available budget, we will work with you, whether it is doing the project as a whole or in phases.  We collect a minimum of 60% at time of contract with the balance due at time of installation.

        Retail Pricing

Vicki Rorison Interiors has direct relationships with over 150 suppliers and manufacturers internationally.   There are no fees for the additional services we provide, including our design work and ideas, layouts, renderings, shipping and white glove installation.

         Retainer Fees

Upon approval of a scope and estimate, we may secure a retainer fee depending upon the size and scope of the project.  The retainer is a show of good faith and covers the project’s design, planning, rendering and selections.  The retainer amount is applicable to the final payment upon completion of the project.  It is, however, non-refundable should the project not continue past the design phase.

        Hourly Based Fees

In some instances, we do work on an hourly rate basis.  This type of work mostly revolves around color/material selections for clients undergoing a remodel or new build.

      Complimentary Initial Meetings

After we have an initial discovery call, and it’s mutually decided to move forward, we schedule an onsite meeting.

This is a meet and greet and a working meeting where we will take a home tour, discuss your needs in greater depth, discuss the budget guidelines within which you are working, and our process to successfully meet and exceed your goals.   If it is mutually decided to move forward to the design phase, depending on the scope of the project, a retainer agreement is signed with payment due at that time.
